The 2016 Reagan National Defense Forum will take place Dec. 2-3 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. The annual forum brings together hundreds of leaders in the defense community to discuss the state of our national defense and threats to our national security through the lens of President Reagan’s vision of peace through strength.

The theme of the fourth annual forum is Peace Through Strength: National Defense and the New Administration. Panels discussions featuring members of Congress, civilian officials and military leaders from the Defense Department and industry will address a wide range of issues, including prioritizing national defense during the transition of presidential power and assessing the role of the nuclear triad in U.S. national defense.

Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the former commandant of the Marine Corps, will deliver one of the forum’s keynote addresses. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter and former Vice President Dick Cheney will be honored with the Ronald Reagan Peace Through Strength Award.
