2-1As I optimistically write down my goals for 2017, I recognize that there are many Americans who feel anxious and fearful. These feelings come any time there is drastic change, which is what we are experiencing within the leadership of this country.

A wide range of emotions have been felt throughout Washington D.C. over the past few weeks. There are members of Congress frantically working to gather information and structure future plans. There are appointments being made and finalized. There are protests being held all over the city.

While I understand there are those that are worried about this transition in power, I believe 2017 will be a promising year. And I’m not the only one that feels this way.

I have come in contact with a number of people ready to take action and stimulate change. We have received calls from individuals and groups wanting to know how to get from point “A” to point “B” in regards to furthering a cause, initiative, or innovation and we are ready to lend a helping hand.

A number of close colleagues and friends of ours have been named to positions of leadership and I look forward to supporting and working alongside this administration.

When I retired, I said that even though I was leaving Congress, I would remain in the fight. That promise still holds true. I look forward to working with our clients and leadership to get things done. It is with this mindset that all of us at McKeon Group head into this new year.
