Chairman’s Corner: March 2019

By now, we’ve all started to grasp the changes that took place in the recent election. With these big changes we have also started to see our elected officials take extreme positions. As a result, I think we have a few rough years ahead of us. I believe we are starting to see the beginning of those difficult times already.

There will be no shortage of investigations, oversight, and hearings. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. If you tune into what the media has to say about all of this, you will most likely not sleep well at night. However, this is definitely not the end of the world.

I believe that at the end of the day, there are solid people on both sides of the aisle working to better our nation. Their leadership and core beliefs will help calm the storms that we, as a nation, will inevitably face.

The reality is that democracy is not pretty. We are witnessing that harsh reality play out right in front of us. There is a lack of trust and a lack of civility amongst some of our leaders. But this is the United States of America and we will prevail despite the turmoil. It is our duty moving forward to ensure that we vote for statesmen rather than politicians.
